CRITERIA FOR PUBLICATION
Angewandte Chemie publishes contributions under the following categories: communications, review articles, mini reviews, essays, highlights, correspondence, corrigenda, book reviews, and obituaries. ‘Although Reviews, Minireviews, and Essays are generally written upon invitation of the editor, they can also be the result of an author’s own initiative.’ The maximum acceptable length of each of the categories is specified in terms of the number of characters including spaces (and not in terms of the number of words). More details are available as part of author guidelines.
EDITORIAL POLICIES AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All manuscripts must be uploaded through the Editorial Manager system of VCH-Wiley after logging in as an author (new authors are required to register first) at www.editorialmanager.com/anie.
MANUSCRIPT REVIEW PROCESS
The journal follows the standard review process. Guidance to reviewers is available here (prospective authors may also benefit from the guidelines): https://www.wiley-vch.de/util/em-forms/referee/anie_index.php.
GOOD PUBLISHING PRACTICES
Angewandte Chemie helps authors to prepare their papers in the required format by providing separate templates for different categories of contributions. An extensive list of keywords is also provided, and the authors are advised to select at least two of the five keywords from that list. The guidelines to authors also offer succinct advice on writing abstracts, introductions, methods, and conclusions. The guidelines are available here:
