Take a break from my PhD? You've got to be kidding!

Taking a break from our PhD is something we don’t do often enough. Not because we can’t, but because we feel we shouldn’t. This is something I am very bad at doing and when I do, I feel guilty, and then I don’t actually enjoy the break because I am too busy thinking about my PhD. Taking a break could just mean going out for a coffee for a couple of hours, an evening or day off, or even a holiday.
